Sometimes we are motivated by pride. Other times, we are motivated by love. At 30 years of age, i find my self both being motivated by pride, love and also lust (lust for knowledge). Since from the start I have always been a student of enterprise systems accounts, always interested in knowing about the way business works with its financial systems, logistics, manufacturing, front end and back and the selling processes (www.scala.se), it got to be a little embarrassing that after 5 years of work experience under my mentor Michael Olsson (who happens to be my boss in Bmolsson, a Swedish pma it consulting company), i consider my self still without 75% of the true enterprise resource planning knowledge a consultant requires to be called a consultant. this goes to show that in order to obtain the pure 100% consultant knowledge, 5 years will not be enough. but then again since my job at Bmolsson requires me to only handle accounts and corporate accounts and never as a consultant, i thought if its just selling ideas and the implementation, I think I consider my self still without only 15% of a true corproate account manager skills and knowledge. at least I find this to be soothing at the time when I was in Sheratton Surabaya, and in Planet Hollywood, when i was being asked to be a speaker in several of Microsoft product launches, in regards to ERP database and MS SQL7. At that time, it was not about selling hard core ERP facts but it was more about selling ideas and implementation steps.

my life changed when i first absorb the knowledge of search engine marketing, search engine optimization and online marketing in israel, dead sea (2000). i remembered that day quite well. i was in one of this sessions where if im not mistaken, eldad, the sales engineer of aladdin systems was telling me about the process of how google, yahoo and altavista provides its search results. i can still remember at that year Google was on its way to be the true leader of the search engines and that altavista was still one of the top engines (it wasnt owned by yahoo yet at the time). 2000 was a time of link popularity, it nothing like today. its a year of development in terms of web search technology, and i was amazed that Eldad and Aladdin knew about how it all came together, he even proved that the process worked. Theres was a pdf file which Eldad handed to me on CD which I still kept today that tells the way the search engines worked. For those of you who dont know much about Google, the photos on the left are the 2 brains behind google, (Larry page and Sergey Brin). The bottom image is a 1/3 image which i cut off that shows the blue print of how Google provides its search results, something Eldad gave me on cd.

Amazing how it all turned out for Google, Yahoo and MSN today, i would have never guessed. If I would have known sooner or can turn back time alittle , I would have been a rich man today if i knew what i know now about how it all turned out with searches, search engines, and the various profit making industries that exists online.
